Scotland Trip Revised 2-18-08

August 7^th to August 14^th 2009

Dear DVGC Members, 

      The grapevine is correct DVGC is hosting a golf trip to Scotland in 2009.  We will be using the same travel agency, Britannia Golf, who put together the 2007 Ireland golf trip with no hitches.  If you are interested in this trip all the information is listed below. We will need a $200 deposit made to DVGC by April 15^th 2008 in to write to St. Andrews Old Course to book guaranteed tee times. This will also save each golfer $500 off the listed price. Please keep in mind you can let us know after this date but we don’t know if we can get you the $500 off. We are playing great courses see the provided web links to each course.   The hotel is in walking distance to St Andrew’s old course. This trip is open to all DVGC members, they’re significant others, plus any guest golfer they would like to bring.  If you have any questions about the trip please call us at 864-704-8883. 

Fri 7^th Aug – Depart US (We are looking into group airline rates, if this is of interest to you please let us known.) 

Sat 8^th Aug – Arrive in Glascow, Scotland.

A day of sight seeing in and around Edinburgh Castle, before heading for St. Andrews

Sun 9^th Aug – Golf: Crail Golf Club (Balcomie Course) p.m.. 
 

Mon 10^th Aug – Golf: Carnoustie Golf Links 
 

Tues 11^th Aug – Golf: Kingsbarns Golf Links 
 

Wed 12^th Aug – Golf: St. Andrews New Course 
 

Thurs 13^th Aug – Golf: St. Andrews Old Course 
 

Fri 14^th Aug – Depart Scotland

* If we have majority of the names with the $200 deposit by spring of April 15th 2008, we can send a letter requesting them directly for the tee times at St Andrews and if successful we would save about $500.00 per person.
