Transfer to St Andrews where ourgroup will stay for
the full 6 nights of the tour at the 4 star Rusacks Hotel
St. Andrews, on
the Fife Peninsula is a golfer s paradise, and just a short walk from the town
centre stands the Rusacks Hotel. There are records of a golfing tradition here
dating back to the 15th century and the hotel enjoys a magnificent location
overlooking the 18th fairway of the Old Course as well as the Royal and Ancient
Club House. The Rusacks has recently been completely refurbished and elegant
decor and comfortable furnishings enhance the friendly, informal ambience of
the public areas.
Golfers play 1
round at Kingsbarns tee times held for
our group at 10:40 to 11:10 (16 golfers)

Kingsbarns Golf Links,
situated 6 miles south-east of St. Andrews this new design might well be the
last true seaside links capable of development in Scotland. Mere words cannot
convey how extraordinary this place is, it must be seen to be believed.
Kingsbarns is a design that is a tribute to its Scottish links heritage. Venue
with Carnoustie and the Old Course for the Dunhill Links Trophy
Golfers play 1
round at Carnoustie Open Championship
Links tee times held for our group 11:40 to 12:10 (16 golfers)

The championship course is
regarded by many as the toughest links course in Britain. The terrain is
surprisingly flat and it does not lend itself to the scenic views. Bunkers with
very steep faces heavily guard the greens and the fairways are littered with
strategic traps, which gather off target drives. The Barry burn is a feature
that comes into play on many holes most notably over the tough finishing holes.
Golfers play 1
round at St Andrews Old Course tee
times held for our group 11:40 and 11:50 (8 golfers) tee times held for our
group 9:40 and 9:50 (8 golfers)
St. Andrews Old Course
The Old Course
starts and finishes in the town of St. Andrews and is an out and back layout
running in an anti-clockwise direction. It is a subtle blend of temptation and
fear. Seemingly inviting fairways hide a host of lurking bunkers unseen from
the tee. The wide fairways dip and roll and the ball must be placed on the
correct line to find the ideal approach into the green with your second shot.
The exposed links are open to every whisper of wind that has been known to
change during the course of the day consequently presenting a fresh and
exacting challenge for every new round. Seven huge double greens are a
characteristic of the course with the inward player having right of way.
Probably the most famous and toughest hole is the 17th, Road hole where the
drive must be hit blind over the railway sheds and the second shot hit with to
a narrow green which runs away from you and with danger lurking on all sides.
Golfers play 1
round at St Andrews New Course tee
times held for our group at 9:36 and 9:44 (8 golfers) . Tee times held for our group at 10:36 and
10:44 (8 golfers)

The New course is
a fine, fair and demanding links which would have gained much wider recognition
away from the shadow of its illustrious neighbour. The New snuggles neatly
against the right flank of the Old course and offers a more modern test of
golf. There are fewer hidden hazards and the fairways are often confined
between dunes and gorse altogether a much tighter proposition.
Golfers play 1
round at St Andrews Castle Links ( 16
golfers) Tee time TBD
St Andrews Castle Course

St. Andrews
sparkling new Castle Course officially opened to the public on 26th
2008, becoming the seventh layout owned and operated by the St Andrews Links
Trust. The attention now being poured onto the new arrival compares to the
pending birth of a prince born to be king and in many ways, the Castle Course
will indeed be Royalty. It will never have the history of The Old Course, nor
the same sentimental attachment, but for any serious golfer, The Castle Course
throws down the gauntlet in a challenge, the equal of any Scottish layout. The
handsome good looks and breath-taking views it pours on from start to finish,
are just thrown in as a bonus. Although not a true links course, the design
contains many links characteristics, with the added thrill of being perched,
sometimes precariously, 80 feet above the crashing surf of the North Sea. The
elevation and exposed location only adds to the cantankerous nature of the
wind, which in these parts and even at sea level, is notorious for its fickle
ways.
Your coach and
driver will transfer the group to the airport for our return flight
