If you hold your handicap with DVGC you are responsible for posting all of your outside rounds via
the internet by going to www.GHIN.com. DVGC has provided you a GHIN number you will need that to post scores. If you
cannot find your number please email us and we will provide you with it.
If you played any rounds after November 1st of 2008 to March 30th 2009 in a state that their handicap season was open you must post the scores before
March 30th. If you don’t know if the state you played in during those dates was open you may go to
www.GHIN.com and there is a page that gives you a United States Outline. For example John and I play in South Carolina all winter and this state never closes so we must post all of our scores
even though Pennsylvania handicap system is closed.
Remember DVGC will post all DVGC handicap holders scores
when you play in DVGC events, it is your responsibilty to post all outside rounds. If it becomes knowledgeable that you played outside rounds and that you did not post by the revision date, it will then go to the DVGC handicap
committee and they will take the proper action given by USGA.
If you hold a handicap outside of DVGC you are responsible to send an email with your revision each time it revises. Also you must post all DVGC events as tournaments when
posting with your club. You must also follow the Equitable Stroke control on DVGC events and outside rounds. The table for ESC is listed below.
Lastly, make sure you find out how equitable stroke control works. There is an Equitable Stroke table listed below the Revision Schedule Table. If DVGC is posting
your scores we do the ESC for you. You must abide by it when posting all your outside rounds.
Equitable Stroke Control table is listed below. To figure out your course handicap, you take your handicap index times it by the Slope rating of the tees you are playing and divide
it by 113. For example Danielle's handicap index is 21.3 she is playing from tees that are slope rated at 130 she would figure her course handicap
by taking her 21.3 x 130 and divide it by 113 = 24.5 is her course handicap. So she could only take an 8 on any hole.
This is only used for posting the score to GHIN, it has nothing to do with scoring during DVGC events. As stated above DVGC will attend to your ESC when playing in
DVGC events, if you hold your handicap with DVGC. If you do not hold your handicap with DVGC it is your responsibility to do the ESC before posting to GHIN.
This is to be abided by when posting outside rounds.
