The Delaware Valley Golf Club is an
excellent opportunity for avid golfers to enjoy the feeling of "country club
membership" without paying the accompanying high costs. Members will play
competitive golf on a regular basis while enjoying the camaraderie associated
with being a club member. It is our feeling that there are too few opportunities
for the average golfer to hone their skills in a fun, competitive yet affordable
environment. Since 2000 the Delaware Valley Golf Club has changed that. Since
our inception, we have averaged about 100 members per year.

The league is open to all amateur
golfers regardless of ability, as all events are played with a handicap. We have
chosen some of the regions finest tracks to host our events. The majority of
events are held on Saturdays, with a few held on weekday afternoons. Every event
involves some type of match, as well as having a stroke-play low net and low
gross winner. Throughout the season, players and teams collect points for wins
and top-ten finishes in order to qualify for the season-ending championship. We
even provide a scoreboard so that golfers can experience the excitement of a
pro-like event. At seasons end, we crown a DVGC team champion, a Vardon Trophy
recipient (for low net score average), a Hagan Trophy recipient (for most match
play victories), a Hogan Award (for most improved player), and a Player of the
Year recipient (voted on by the club members) and many others. Each year we
field a Ryder Cup or President's Cup team that competes against other similar
clubs.

| Teams and Competition |
|
Members can join as
individuals or as teams. If you join as an individual we will help place you on
a team. Teams consist of either four of five players. If your team has five
members, all five can play in any event, but only four members can qualify for
points at that same event. Points are awarded for winning a match as well as
for being either in the top ten net scores or the top five gross scores. Four
times during our season we hold a major event in which all point totals are
doubled. It is
important to remember that the goal of our club is fun. Do not let the
competitive aspect of each week stop you from enjoying yourself and joining
us. |
| Handicaps |

The Delaware Valley Golf Club
is officially recognized by the USGA as a golf club without real estate. This
means that all our events are governed by USGA rules, and our club has formal
by-laws. All of this allows us to issue official handicaps which are a
requirement for participating in club events
